Rainbow Foundation of Hope Entrance Scholarship
The Rainbow Foundation of Hope is proud to offer two fully funded scholarships in partnership with Langara College for the 2026 academic year.
Each scholarship is valued at $12,500 and is designed to remove financial barriers for LGBTQ+ newcomers pursuing education and building successful futures in Canada.
- One scholarship is available for new students entering Langara College.
- One scholarship is available for current Langara students continuing their studies.

What the Scholarship Covers
This scholarship is designed to support you throughout your educational journey. Funding may include:
- Tuition and college fees
- Textbooks and learning materials
- A laptop
- Some living expenses, depending on program costs
Scholarship funds are disbursed across the duration of your program.
For example, a two-year program would receive two instalments of $6,250 each year.
You may apply to any full-time or part-time program that leads to a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree credential.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered, applicants must:
- Identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community
- Be a newcomer to Canada at the time of the application
- Demonstrate financial need
- Be entering Langara College full-time or part-time in Regular Studies or Continuing Studies
- Show a passion for education and a commitment to completing a credential
Preference will be given to Refugee and Asylum Claimants.
Support for English Language Skills
If you feel your English is not yet strong enough for your chosen program, you may include a request for English language upgrading in your application.
Please note that some Langara programs have prerequisites — be sure to review program requirements to confirm eligibility.
