  • Our Mission
  • Our vision
  • Our purpose
To provide essential funding and support for the relocation and resettlement of 2SLGBTQIA+ asylum seekers, refugees, and newcomers, ensuring they find safety, freedom, and a welcoming community in Canada.
A world where asylum seekers, refugees and newcomers can live safely and are free.
To help relocate and resettle persons fleeing persecution on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression (SOGIE).
The future

A Brighter Future for 2SLGBTQIA+ Refugees

The future of our foundation is bright. In a world without equality, we will continue to commit ourselves to ending global 2SLGBTQI+ persecution. As our foundation grows, we will have more chances to spread awareness towards our cause and fund more pathways to safety.

However, this isn’t possible without you. We are a charity and we rely on donations and volunteers to survive. We’re very grateful to everyone who supports us, whether you are donating money or your time. We hope that you will join us this upcoming year and help make a difference in an 2SLGBTQI+ refugee or newcomers’ life.

From Community Action to National Impact

A place of hope since 2014

Rainbow Foundation of Hope started as a small group of citizens in Vancouver that privately sponsored a gay Syrian couple as a Circle of Hope co-sponsored by Rainbow Refugee. Led by Carl Meadows, the group went on to found RFOH in 2014 which became a registered charity in 2015.
Since then, RFOH focuses on fundraising strategies to support the efforts of caring and compassionate Canadians within a national network of civil society groups.

11 years later we continue to commit ourselves to ending global 2SLGBTQIA+ persecution.
